Hannah Deschaine, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD Speech-Language Pathologist
Hannah is a New York State licensed speech-language pathologist with a background in education. She is a graduate of New York University, where she received her master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Hannah is a certified member of ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and holds a New York State speech-language pathology license.
Hannah is a treating clinician in the Motor Speech Lab at New York University under the supervision of Dr. Maria Grigos, studying the impact of caregiver involvement during Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) treatment for children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). Hannah has presented on DTTC at the ASHA Convention and Apraxia Kids National Conference. Hannah is also an adjunct professor at NYU, where she teaches graduate-level Speech Sound Disorders. Hannah has a passion for working with children with CAS, other speech sound disorders, and language delays/disorders.
Prior to entering this field, Hannah was a New York City public school teacher in grades 3-5, where she worked closely with families to maximize educational outcomes. Hannah believes that therapy should be functional and individualized, and is dedicated to working as a team with families to identify creative solutions for their care.
